Toniette Sumpter

Program Manager, Heroes MAKE America

Toniette Sumpter is the Program Manager for the Heroes MAKE America Fast Track Certified Logistics program at The Manufacturing Institute, the workforce and education partner of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), the nation’s largest industrial trade association. In her role, Toniette serves as the liaison for the Manufacturing Institute and handles all facets of the Certified Logistics training program including recruitment, enrollment, class schedules, company tours, and data management.

Before joining the Manufacturing Institute, Toniette spent the last year working as the Military Outreach Coordinator at a Technical College, leading the Military Affairs department in serving the active-duty service members, veterans and their families as they pursue higher education. Additionally, she served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps, stationed in Iwakuni Japan, Parris Island SC, Camp Lejeune NC while completing two combat tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Toniette holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration, Park University.  As a Military Retiree, Toniette is originally from Baltimore, MD, but currently resides in the Savannah, GA area with her family. Outside of work, Toni can be found spending time with her family on their property and camping at local state parks.
