Serena Wong is the Senior Manager of Program Operations at the Manufacturing Institute, the workforce and education partner of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). In her current role, Serena provides operational support across the MI and works with program leads to develop and execute external facing events.
Serena first joined the NAM in 2015 as a Meeting Coordinator prior to transitioning to the Manufacturing Institute. Previously, Serena served as Manager of Women’s Engagement where she provided programmatic support on the Institute’s STEP Women’s Initiative to execute regional events across the country.
Serena earned her undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree in Integrated Science and Technology with a concentration in Biotechnology at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. As a graduate of the STEM field, Serena is committed to the Institute’s efforts in changing public perception of manufacturing in the U.S. through youth engagement and increasing the visibility of female leadership in manufacturing.
