Rachael Scheffler

Sr Director, Social Impact, Discovery Education

As a member of the social impact team, Rachael works with corporations, non-profit organizations, and foundations to develop strategic education solutions in support of students and educators nationwide.  The Discovery Education social impact team creates opportunities for industry and non-profit organizations to be responsive to the needs of educators and bring creative and engaging programming to more than 30M students in the U.S.  Rachael sits on the STEM Careers Coalition leadership team responsible for driving strategy, partnership development and engagement.  Rachael’s passion for education aligns to the mission of Discovery Education and drives her authentic desire to make a meaningful difference in public education. Rachael’s interest in creating equitable opportunities for all students to learn supports her passion for K12 education.

Prior to joining Discovery Education, Rachael spent 14 years working in non-profit, health care philanthropy.  She is a school board director for the Northwestern Lehigh School District in Pennsylvania and is a consultant for a large family foundation in the Lehigh Valley.  Rachael earned her MBA and BA in Communications from DeSales University and is also an active adjunct faculty member at Desales.
