Rachael Scheffler

AVP and Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy

Rachael Scheffler is the Associate Vice President and Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy for The Manufacturing Institute, the workforce development and education partner of the National Association of Manufacturers, the nation’s largest industrial trade association.

In her role, Ms. Scheffler leads philanthropic engagement and partnership opportunities for the Institute in its goal of supporting the manufacturing workforce of today and growing the manufacturing workforce of tomorrow. The Institute does so through a variety of programs designed to excite, educate and empower—with a particular focus in four key areas: women, veterans, youth and lifelong learning.

Prior to her role at the Institute, Ms. Scheffler was a part of the Social Impact Coalitions team at Discovery Education working with corporations and non-profit organizations to develop strategic partnership solutions in support of K12 students and educators.  Ms. Scheffler was a part of the STEM Careers Coalition leadership team, responsible for driving strategy, partnership development and engagement centered around STEM education.  Before her role at Discovery Education, Ms. Scheffler spent 14 years working in various non-profit, health care philanthropy roles at Lehigh Valley Health Network and Reading Hospital Foundation.

She is a school board director for the Northwestern Lehigh School District and is a philanthropy consultant for a private family foundation in the Lehigh Valley.  Ms. Scheffler earned her MBA and BA in Communications from DeSales University and is also an active adjunct faculty member at Desales.  She resides in Pennsylvania with her husband and two daughters.
