Jennifer White is the Heroes MAKE America Senior Program Manager, Fort Campbell, at The Manufacturing Institute, the workforce and education partner of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), the nation’s largest industrial trade association. In her role, Jen serves as the onsite liaison for the Manufacturing Institute and handles all facets of the program including recruitment, enrollment, class schedules, company tours, and data management.
Jen has extensive experience working with military service members and families. The first ten years of her professional career were spent in public education, working as a high school social studies teacher, volleyball coach, testing coordinator, and parent involvement coordinator. She later moved on to become the system testing coordinator, organizing and implementing a fully online assessment program for a district serving nearly 10,000 students in 14 different schools. Working in the Liberty County School System near Fort Stewart, Georgia, Jen worked daily with children of military families, witnessing the struggles they faced and working to develop solutions in order to better assist them.
Prior to joining the Manufacturing Institute, Jen continued to build upon her passion for working with military families as the Contractor Installation Manager for the U.S. Army Soldier for Life – Transition Assistance Program, providing oversight of the Fort Irwin and Presidio of Monterey centers in California. At Fort Irwin, she worked directly with soldiers and spouses who were transitioning from active duty service, providing civilian career preparation, training, and mentoring. She built relationships with installation leadership and command teams to provide better awareness about program benefits and highlights, greatly improving participation and support. She partnered with local industry leaders and coordinated community-wide employment events, focusing on building career readiness and improving job opportunities for the Fort Irwin military community.
Jen holds a Master’s in Education from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and a Bachelor’s in History from Ohio State University. A proud military spouse, she is originally from Marion, Ohio, but currently resides in Clarksville, Tennessee, with her active-duty husband and their two children. Outside of work she can often be found attending her daughter’s sporting events, spending time with her family, or volunteering with the Soldier and Family Readiness Group.
