About the Talent Pipeline Challenge
The White House Talent Pipeline Challenge is a nationwide call to action for employers, education and training providers, states, local, Tribal, and territorial governments, and philanthropic organizations to make tangible commitments that support equitable workforce development goals to help enable historic infrastructure investments. The Biden-Harris Administration is focused on working with employers in three critical infrastructure sectors: Broadband, Construction, Electrification (including EV Charging Infrastructure and Battery Manufacturing)
The Biden-Harris Administration is focused on three main actions:
- Build – Build new, equitable programs where there is limited training supply and/or new demand (e.g., emerging industries, like batteries and EV charging).
- Scale – Expand existing high quality programs/partnerships (e.g., building trades apprenticeship programs), growing current programs and/or bringing them somewhere new.
- Expand Equitable Pathways – Create or expand equitable pathways to good jobs through pre-apprenticeships and wrap-around supports for those in training programs.
