While women make up nearly half of the U.S. labor force, they represent only 28.6% of the manufacturing labor force.  In the automotive manufacturing sector, women represent 23.6% of the workforce- less than a quarter of the automotive manufacturing workforce.  Despite COVID’s impact on the economy,  automotive manufacturers are engaged in considerable efforts aimed at retaining, developing, and advancing the current and future generations of female automotive manufacturers.
