Tony Lawrence is the Program Manager for The Manufacturing Institute, the nonprofit affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), Heroes MAKE America Career Skills Program at Fort Hood, TX. In his role, Tony serves as the onsite liaison for The Manufacturing Institute and handles all facets of the program such as recruitment, enrollment, class scheduling, company tours and data management. Tony has over 10 years of experience as a Project Manager in a diverse portfolio of positions specializing in operations, business development and statistical analysis.

Prior to joining the Institute, Tony received his bachelor’s in business: insurance from Olivet College in Olivet, MI. After graduating, Tony immediately joined the United States Army. He is a recipient of the prestigious Ranger Tab, Combat Infantryman’s Badge and the Bronze Star for services rendered overseas.  After a rewarding career in the military, Tony became the owner of Lawrence Insurance Agency in San Antonio, TX where he facilitated, executed and monitored all day-to-day operations of his business. Tony developed multiple analytical programs and templates utilized in increasing productivity, exceeding goals and monitoring efficient managerial and supervisory effectiveness. After years of running a prosperous business, Tony’s passion, dedication and desire for helping soldiers led him to the Manufacturing Institute.

In addition to his work in project management, Tony is also heavily involved with his local church and community outreach to feed the homeless. Tony resides and works remotely from Fort Hood, TX. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Cassidy, daughter Isabella and his son Tony II. An enthusiast for the outdoors, Tony is an avid hunter and values time with his horses. Tony also trains and competes in Mixed Martial Arts.
