AJ Jorgenson is the AVP, Strategic Engagement at The Manufacturing Institute, the non-profit affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM).  In her role, Jorgenson develops and executes all strategic operations for the Institute's largest initiative, STEP Ahead. She ensures that the Institute is the authority on the attraction, qualification, and development of world class manufacturing talent.

Prior to joining the Institute, Ms. Jorgenson worked at the NAM as the Manager of Board and Strategic Initiatives.  She was responsible for developing engagement strategies, as well as creating the content and production of the Board of Directors meetings.  In addition to that role, Ms. Jorgenson served as a liaison for companies headquartered in the West and Southwest.

Previously, Ms. Jorgenson served as the Executive Coordinator of Research and Development for Mars, Incorporated.  She worked directly with the Technology Committee, the Science Leadership Team and the Chocolate Supply Leadership Team.  Before Mars, she worked as a programs and marketing assistant, specializing in government affairs and event planning, as well as a reporter and columnist for local newspapers.

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ms. Jorgenson currently resides in Woodbridge, Virginia. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Political Science from Marquette University.
