Brief Description of Institution: Gateway Community and Technical College (Gateway) is part of a statewide system of two-year, public community and technical colleges created by the Postsecondary Education Improvement Act of 1997. This Act consolidated Kentucky’s community colleges and postsecondary technical schools into 15 districts within a new organization, the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). Gateway provides high quality, affordable, accessible, and inclusive postsecondary education and training resulting in a positive contribution to the economic vitality of the region and enhanced quality of life for all citizens. Partnerships with school districts, colleges, universities, business and industry, and the community at large are part of the college's seamless system of entrepreneurial-learning which creates pathways to success through certificate, diploma, associate degree and transfer programs; developmental, adult, and continuing education; workforce and customized training; and support services for the enhancement of student learning and success. The college’s annual operating budget is $22,877,400.00 and its service area includes the Greater Cincinnati Metropolitan area with a primary focus on Northern Kentucky.
