Brief Description of Institution:  Kankakee Community College is nestled on the banks of the Kankakee River, 60 miles south of Chicago. KCC’s newly acquired 53,000 square foot Manufacturing and Industrial Technology Building Center, located at 2580 S. Route 45/52, Kankakee, IL is scheduled to open January, 2014 for welding, machine tool technology, and millwright classes. The College serves approximately 4,000 credit students each semester and is dedicated to the mission of enhancing quality of life through learning. KCC is accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and is also a qualified Academic Quality Improvement (AQIP) pathway college.
