Brief Description of Institution: Daley College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago, is a public community college on Chicago’s Southwest side. The college is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and enrolled 17,486 students in FY 2012 in credit, adult education and continuing education programs. As part of the City Colleges of Chicago’s College to Careers initiative, Daley College is building a strong advanced manufacturing program through close collaboration with industry partners. The program has created a clear pathway for students seeking to head into the workforce or to pursue baccalaureate programs in manufacturing technology and engineering. The college ensures equity in learning opportunities and outcomes through quality, affordable programs in the advanced manufacturing and STEM fields.
