WASHINGTON, DC, -  The Manufacturing Institute is capturing best practices of Dream It. Do It. programs that have successfully engaged youth in manufacturing and STEM-related activities. These best practices will cumulate into the Inspiring the Next Generation toolkit with the purpose of engaging students in STEM pathways and manufacturing careers.

The Dream It. Do It. Schools2Skills program gives students, educators and parents the opportunity to tour local manufacturers and see firsthand the innovative and advanced technology that exists in manufacturers within their region or community. The tours conclude at a regional community or technical college, where attendees learn about the education available for these types of opportunities.

The program takes the attendees inside leading manufacturing companies to learn more about manufacturing career paths and salaries that can be earned in this industry.
