Baltimore, MD, -  Institute Vice President Gardner Carrick gave a presentation on 3D Printing at an event sponsored by the Regional Manufacturing Institute of Maryland.  Over 40 manufacturers, educators, and economic development officials attended the event, which focused on the Institute's & PwC's report on 3D Printing and how manufacturers in Maryland are implementing additive manufacturing.  Also presenting at the session was Jan Baum, Executive Director of 3D Maryland, a statewide initiative to increase access to additive manufacturing technologies for manufacturers and entrepreneurs.

Following the event, Carrick visited Danko Arlington, a pattern shop, foundry, and machine shop in West Baltimore that is using 3D Printers to make tool & dyes and patterns.
