-  The Manufacturing Institute is pleased to welcome the Oklahoma State Department of Commerce as the newest member of the Dream It. Do It. network representing Dream It. Do It. Oklahoma. Oklahoma becomes the 25th member of the network as Dream It. Do It. strives to be the unified voice representing manufacturing in communities across the nation.

 “The Oklahoma Department of Commerce is excited to join the Dream It. Do It network,” says Vikki Dearing, Employer Workforce Services Coordinator of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. “ Manufacturing is key to Oklahoma’s economy and manufacturing jobs are interesting, challenging and high tech. We look forward to using the Dream It. Do It.’s resources and working with our manufacturing executives to help young people, their parents and educators learn what great careers are available in manufacturing.”

Established in 2005, Dream It. Do It. acts as the grassroots authority on influencing the perception of manufacturing careers by leveraging local, regional and statewide strategic partnerships to attract and recruit a qualified manufacturing workforce pipeline. Dream It. Do It. consists of a network of industry leaders that develop promanufacturing activities customized to their community’s needs.
