Washington, DC, -  The Manufacturing Institute is pleased to recognize Daley College as the newest member of the M-List. Located in Chicago, IL, Daley College is acknowledged for their outstanding manufacturing technology programs. Daley offers 8 certifications, as well as college credit, as a part of their manufacturing technology course.

"Earning a spot on the Manufacturing Institute's M-List is testament to the quality of our manufacturing program," says Jose Aybar, president of Richard J. Daley College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago.  "This recognition reflects the work being done through City Colleges' College to Careers initiative, in which we have teamed with industry leaders to ensure our manufacturing programs are relevant to the demands of the marketplace and that our students build skills that prepare them to hit the ground running in this fast-growing field."

“Including Daley College on the Manufacturing Institute's prestigious M-List is a natural,” said Jim Nelson, vice president of external affairs, Illinois Manufacturers’ Association. “Daley College has long been a leader in Illinois' education community, preparing men and women for rewarding careers in manufacturing.”

The M-List recognizes high schools, community colleges, and universities that are teaching manufacturing students to industry standards. Specifically, these institutions offer students the opportunity to earn NAM-Endorsed Manufacturing Skills Certifications as a standard part of their manufacturing education programs.

"From earning national NIMS accreditation to the honor of a spot on the M-List, City Colleges' advanced manufacturing programs and our students are gaining the notice of employers and industry experts alike" says Ray Prendergast, head of the Manufacturing Technology program at Richard J. Daley College.  "In fact, every week companies call us with employment opportunities and many students receive offers even before they graduate. We want to thank the Manufacturing Institute for their encouragement and support as we work to develop world-class manufacturing talent in Chicago."
