Winston-Salem, NC, -  Fourteen North Carolina Community Colleges received a combined $5.7 Million dollars in grants from the Golden Leaf Foundation.  Forsyth Technical Community College, which received an $825,000 grant, will use the funds to expand its Triad job training of computer-controlled machining.  Forsyth Tech is one of the leading collegs in the country in using NAM-Endorsed Certifications.

For other community colleges, the incoming grants will go towards implementing the Skills Certification Program.  Others will use their grants for new equipemnt, stronger instructional support, and professional development.  The Manufacturing Institute congratulates the schools on their grants.
