Washington, DC, 11/19/12 - At the White House last month, Education Secretary Arne Duncan declared that using data in new and different ways could be the ”game-changer” that our education system desperately needs. He made this statement while opening up the first-ever “Education Datapalooza” summit highlighting some of the ways innovators and entrepreneurs are using open data to improve educational outcomes for learners of all ages. Datapalooza 2012 included a presentation by the Institute's Director of Communications, Jacey Wilkins. Jacey spoke on the importance of data and how it contributes to the continuing growth of the manufacturing industry.
