-   Dresser-Rand , a Houston based manufacturer with a plant in Olean, NY, welcomed Dream It. Do It. New York and 100 local students to a facilities tour on Manufacturing Day. The event brought in students from Olean, Allegany-Limestone, Hinsdale, and Portville. Those students spent time at career fair, exploring different aspects of the company, and later, went on a detailed tour of the entire plant. Employees were stationed at different points of the tour to answer questions.

Dresser-Rand also decided to celebrate Manufacturing Day with a charitable effort. The company donated $10,000 to Dream It. Do It. New York which will be used to promote DIDI activities in local communities. Kathleen Martel, an executive for DIDI NY, said that DIDI and Dresser-Rand received “fantastic feedback from the event” and they plan on “working together again next year to make the event even better”.
