-  The Florida Sterling Council hosted the Florida STEM Manufacturing & Education Forum a few weeks ago. The Manufacturing Institute’s President, Jennifer McNelly attended the event focused around job growth in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) related fields in the state of Florida. Al Stimac, owner and president of Metal Essence Inc, was a presenter at the event. His comments portrayed the STEM initiative as a driving force in Florida’s economy and shared best practices from one of the state’s top manufacturing firms.

The event information page stated that the forum ‘brings together schools, workforce boards, manufacturers and key stakeholders to have collaborative dialogue, share best practices from the best in Florida, and give all organizations the tools to put Florida on the right track.’
