-   The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded 360º Manufacturing and Applied Engineering, a Minnesota based organization that sponsors Dream It. Do It. Minnesota, with the 2012 Advanced Technological Engineering Regional Center of Excellence award. The award allows 360º to receive a continuing grant that will help the organization fund programs, including Dream It. Do It. Minnesota, that work on advancing manufacturing technicians in Minnesota.

The National Science Foundation helps to fund research and education programs that focus on science and engineering. The Advanced Technological Engineering Regional Center of Excellence award hopes to be a guiding vision to a 21st Century education system that prepares individuals to participate fully in rewarding careers in manufacturing, which meets the needs of the region's manufacturing employers. 360º concentrates on increasing the quantity, quality, and diversity of manufacturing technicians in Minnesota.

“We have had so many amazing partners along the way and I want to thank everyone we worked with," said Karen White, Director of 360º, "We are very excited to receive this funding to continue our efforts to support manufacturing technician education in Minnesota.”

The Manufacturing Institute would like to congratulate Karen and the rest of the 360º team on their accomplishment!
