Omaha, NE, -  The Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities held its Commission on Innovation, Competitiveness, and Economic Prosperity¬†meeting today and Institute Vice President Gardner Carrick participated in a panel discussion on manufacturing with officials from the U.S. Department of Energy and the Council on Competitiveness.¬†

APLU is interested in ensuring the continued role of universities in the expasion of U.S. manufacturing through coordinated R&D activities, education of the workforce at levels, and regional economic development.
