Indianapolis, IN, -  In a move that has the potential to significantly impact the debate and policy direction for community colleges, a group of the most innovative community colleges have created a new organization called Rebuilding America's Middle Class: A Coalition of Community Colleges.

Their first event was held this week in Indianapolis, IN.  Headlined by Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels and Lumina Foundation President Jamie Merisotis, the RAMC conference worked to develop a specific agenda and action list for this new coation of community colleges.

Institute Vice President Gardner Carrick participated on a panel with Martin Scaglione from ACT, and representatives from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Corporate Voices for Working Families.
