The Manufacturing Institute (the Institute) is the 501 (c) 3 affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers. As a non-partisan organization, the Institute is committed to delivering leading-edge information and services to the nation’s manufacturers. The Institute focuses on developing human capital strategies through education reform and workforce development, conducting applied research to provide critical information to public policy makers on challenges and opportunities for today’s industry, and advancing the innovation capacity of manufacturers operating in a global market.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Institute on the Institute’s website and maintain site accordingly.
  • Develop webpages and images for current and new Institute initiatives and partnerships.
  • Manage social media outlets (Facebook, blog, Twitter and YouTube) and update with new materials.
  • Collaborate with the Institute regarding Dream It. Do It. (DIDI) on the Dream It. Do It. website and incorporate site updates and changes as needed.
  • Manage daily and weekly Dream It. Do It. updates.
  • Provide a youthful opinion and voice while assessing marketing efforts geared at attracting students to consider careers in advanced manufacturing and related industries.
  • Some administrative duties such as document copying, filing, and collation.

  • Have web design and/or programming skills
  • Be detail-oriented

  • Be able to multi-task
  • Demonstrate ethical handling of confidential information
  • Have knowledge of general office procedures such as answering phone, using basic office equipment, Microsoft Office Suite, filing etc.
  • Dress professionally

Job Detail
This is a part-time position. This is a PAID internship that will give the student an opportunity to gain experience for professional development.
