New Britain, Connecticut, -  Senior Vice President of The Manufacturing Institute, Jennifer McNelly, served as one of three panelists at Governor Malloy's Education Workshop this afternoon in New Britain, Connecticut.  Jennifer answered questions about how the the needs and demands from our workforce have changed and how a common college and career readniess definition and Common Core Standards support preparing current students for the workforce.  This panel was part of a series of panels hosted throughout the day with a theme to transform education in Connecticut.  U.S. Department of Education Under Secretary Martha J. Kanter gave the keynote address.
