Rebecca Stehle
Supplier Quality and Development Manager
MSA Safety

"I'm passionate about the culture that a manufacturing organization instills in every associate. Continuous improvement, embracing change, and engaging in teamwork every day offers new challenges and opportunities for personal development and leadership. It's rewarding knowing that our collective efforts result in high-quality, innovative safety products used throughout the world."

Becky was instrumental in identifying the need to streamline functional capabilities globally, and proposed the company restructure processes and roles to better manage supplier performance, and in turn improve performance. She researched and created a global supplier quality approach, and documented that effort in a manual. That manual is still used to this day, to measure and monitor supplier performance, as well as drive ongoing supply chain improvements. Her systematic and thorough approach continues to drive business objectives today.
Becky has mentored many Quality associates in developing skills and knowledge about supplier quality, including the usage of SAP, supplier auditing, and performance measurement report generation. Her energetic, down-to-earth style is warmly received by all, and she takes extra time to ensure complete understanding. She also volunteers as part of Communities of Practice, where engineers and marketing professionals gather to share ideas, challenge each other for solutions to existing problems, and identify new areas of potential growth for the company.
Over the past several years, Becky has been involved in leading several fundraising initiatives for the American Heart Association through MSA. She has also been actively involved in MSA’s Employee Business Resource Groups (ERBGs). Last year, Becky volunteered as a leadership team member for the MSA Young Professionals group; an ERBG that strives to make MSA an even better place to work for all generations by focusing on innovative creativity, professional development, work environment, community outreach, and networking. This year, she has transitioned to the leadership team of MSA’s Women’s ERBG, “WMSA”, as a co-lead for Community Outreach. WMSA’s mission is to empower, support, and promote the personal and professional growth of women within MSA and our community.
