Mary Blair
Senior Vice President, Supply Chain Management
Accuride Corporation

"Manufacturing provides endless development, strategic, and leadership growth opportunities. For women in manufacturing we have the opportunity to globally develop and execute strategic initiatives, and to provide leadership and mentoring to others in manufacturing, while growing and expanding our own bandwidth."

Mary has played a key role in transforming the company’s operational and financial performance over the past five years. She applied her expertise from a career with General Motors, Navistar, and UCI to develop a rigorous new supply chain structure and team that provided for total visibility and accountability, and resulted in savings and efficiencies across the board. Mary leads cross-functional teams effectively, fostering idea-sharing that creates stronger outcomes for problem solving, value stream mapping, and strategy development.
She exemplifies the principles of servant leadership in her mentoring of students and entry-level professionals. An advocate for building the talent pipeline, Mary established an internship program in partnership with the University of Evansville and other area colleges. In 2015, she was a featured speaker during the PLEX Systems’ annual PowerPlex user conference, inspiring audience members with her practical advice on navigating the challenges women face as they strive to make an impact.
Mary shares her leadership and energy with the community, helping those in need while raising Accuride’s visibility. She serves on the Advisory Board for the University of Evansville Institute for Global Enterprise, helping develop new opportunities for growth as well as on the Junior Achievement’s Board of Directors. She also led her team’s morale-boosting volunteer efforts, including creating Accuride’s first-ever holiday gift giving program for children and families in need, and its holiday adoption of local Wounded Warrior and Deployed Parent families through the Indiana Army National Guard.
