Mary has demonstrated leadership in several functional areas throughout her career at John Deere and continues to push herself to learn more and grow. In her current role, Mary has implemented several initiatives that have contributed to improving factory safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. In her previous capacity as a project manager, Mary used her leadership skills and technical talents to manage projects that were executed on-time and saved money, including managing a $9M office space renovation, a $17M office addition, and a cafeteria expansion. She has the personality, skills, and spirit to encourage others to engage, collaborate, and achieve.
Mary participates in Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and has mentored multiple new hires as they enter the workforce in an engineering role.  A 10-year member of the Iowa State University engineering recruiting team, Mary is responsible for interviewing and selecting talented young engineers to work for John Deere. On the recruiting team, Mary is the SWE liaison to the campus maintaining a relationship with SWE leaders on campus, visiting SWE meetings and events, and sharing her experiences and love for John Deere.  She has also served as a Des Moines Works WomenREACH steering committee member and as a Women in Operations Community Involvement committee member, helping to lead these employee resource groups in supporting women's success at John Deere. 
Mary shares her talents as an active member of her community. She lives in the small town of Ogden, Iowa on her family farm with her husband and children. Mary actively supports her local church, the school system, and community.
