Heather Mosier
SUV/LT Tire Development Manager
Cooper Tire & Rubber Company
Findlay, OH

“The manufacturing industry is where our efforts to create new and improved technologies come to life. Throughout my career, I have attained a high level of satisfaction by witnessing months, and sometimes years, of engineering and design work turn into products that meet and exceed the needs of our customers.”

Heather has made a range of contributions in the roles she has held over her career at Cooper Tire.  Among her accomplishments, she has proven to effectively work on a cross-functional team to drive one of the company’s largest cost savings initiatives in its history. Leveraging the technical skills she developed in previous roles, she built relationships and used project management skills to assemble highly functional teams and led them to accomplish business goals. The extra planning Heather did at the beginning of the project contributed to her team's overall success and set the tone for future team assignments.
Heather began her career with the company as a sophomore in college, and understands the impact an excellent mentor can have on a young engineer.  Whether mentoring a co-op student or a new engineer, she does her best to foster a learning environment where the mentee can excel and feel like they are an important part of the organization. She also emphasizes exploring additional roles to get a broader picture of the company and industry.
Heather has always had a strong commitment to the community as well. Early in her career, she was an advisor for Junior Achievement in Findlay. In this role, she worked with middle school students to develop a business plan for a marketable product that the students would then sell for a period of 4 to 6 weeks. Since 2011, Heather has been involved with the Hancock Soccer Association as a volunteer youth soccer coach, coaching girls ages four through eight. She finds it rewarding to help the girls develop their athletic, teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship skills.
