The business Barbara started in 1989 stands alone as a minority, woman-owned business within the aerospace industry. Barbara attributes her success to her team and always acknowledges their efforts and contributions toward accomplishing business goals. She fully invests in her staff and team, ensuring the company is always at its peak.

Over the course of her career, Barbara has continually set high goals which she accomplished through leadership, determination and hard work. More than a company President, Barbara is a true leader and motivates others to become leaders themselves. She brings in learning opportunities, mentorships and trainings so her team will develop, including enrolling the organization in the Rolls-Royce Mentor program and completing Six Sigma Green Belt certifications.

Barbara has been widely recognized in her community for her excellence, dedication, innovation and diversity inclusion. She has received many awards that acknowledge her company as one of the best within the Metals Distribution Industry in North America, as well as honors for her local and regional leadership and contributions to the industry and community. In July 2014 Barbara was invited to the White House to participate with other business executives in a discussion about the partnerships of small businesses and large prime contractors. In June 2015 Barbara spoke at the Florida TRADE and MAF Center for Advanced Manufacturing Excellence annual STEM Forum on a panel titled “Manufacturing: A Woman’s Perspective.” Her contributions were invaluable and her leadership style motivated many other women and minorities to pursue manufacturing careers.
