Amy Haigler
Value Stream/Operations Leader
The Procter & Gamble Company
Iowa City, IA

“I find it very empowering to work with a diverse and talented team to competitively manufacture high quality products which enhance people’s lives. It is especially rewarding to see manufacturing thriving in the USA led by a whole new generation of women leaders.”

Over the past 18 years, Amy has made significant contributions at Procter & Gamble and delivered breakthrough results across assignments in Engineering and Plant Operations. Most recently, Amy has been the operations leader in two strategic North America plants. In both assignments, she led large organizations that were capacity constrained and succeeded in building highly capable and stable synchronized supply chains to deliver the customer’s needs. Amy is adept at translating her technical mastery and rigorous approach to a large and diverse organization.

She models a servant leader mentality while continually driving standards and rigor in execution. She has proven effective in developing her leaders to excel within the company, and prides herself on helping others succeed and prosper. She has also been very active in on-campus recruiting for leaders and in on-site interviewing for technicians. She believes that collaboration is the key to everyone’s success and makes great strides to establish relationships that benefit not only individuals but the group as a whole.

Amy gives back to the local community too.  She is a board member of the Johnson County Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, helping set direction and raising funds. Amy also is an active participant in the annual United Way efforts of the plant. And she is a member of Procter and Gamble’s women’s leadership group, which recently organized a Girls on the Run 5k on behalf of the Johnson County United Way and raised more than $2,000.
