Jennifer Crapisi
Manager, Technical Services
Abbott
Casa Grande, AZ

“I am passionate about manufacturing because of the drive for continuous improvement. Our team strives every day to, more efficiently, transform raw ingredients into high quality consumer products. I gain immense satisfaction working as one team, dedicated to the one goal of finding a better way to win every day.”

Jen has been instrumental to the success of Abbott Nutrition and the Abbott Nutrition Casa Grande Plant. Since joining Abbott in January 2013, Jen developed a strategic site roadmap, aimed at improving the operational efficiencies in every plant manufacturing department by double digits.  Under her leadership, Jen’s team embraced creative thinking, had the courage to challenge the status quo and the patience to take on and work through changes that resulted in transforming the Technical Service Team results from average to exceptional. The team exceeded all targets, and accomplished those results without any additional capital expenditures.

Jen finds great joy in helping others achieve success. Colleagues and staff at all levels enjoy working with her, and while she continually sets an amazing example, she also focuses on allowing others to shine.  She is committed to growing local talent and has driven an effort to incorporate engineering internships into the organizational structure. She sought out talent from Arizona State University and the University of Arizona and provided them with challenging real-life plant issues. Jen provided the tools and the coaching throughout their internships. In the end, not only did the students implement meaningful ongoing programs, but they also professionally matured under Jen's direction.

She is also committed to improving her local community. Among other causes, she is especially passionate about supporting the local Casa Grande Team who recently participated in the Special Olympics. Jen dedicated countless hours of her time in the swimming pool, training the Special Olympic athletes in preparation for their competitions.
