Della Williams
President, CEO and Founder

Fort Worth, TX

“The NAM tagline says it all — Manufacturing means jobs. The idea of American exceptionalism and promise of the American Dream is formed around the idea that we can do — design and build — anything we set our minds to. Manufacturing has always lived up to that idea and fulfilled that promise.”

Della and WilliamsRDM have been examples of ingenuity and can-do spirit in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas for fifty years.   She has built a company that has proven you do not have to be big to do big things, and she will challenge you to find another company its size that possesses the engineering and manufacturing capabilities they field under one roof. Over the years, the company has developed and manufactured hundreds of innovative products for companies including Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, and Halliburton.  Since co-founding WilliamsRDM in 1963, Della has done it all. From hands-on manufacturing of parts to securing development contracts; marketing and closing sales to purchasing—her firsthand knowledge of every facet of the business has contributed to making WilliamsRDM the 50-year success story it is today

Della is actively involved in professional organizations and legislative efforts locally and on Capitol Hill, where she aggressively lobbied for continued federal support of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership. A 2011 Great Women of Texas Nominee, she has served on the President’s Council of the National Association of Manufacturers and Chaired the Texas Manufacturing State Advisory Board.  She is also founder of WPI Firefighters’ Fund, a 501(c)3, nonprofit organization that has helped families of firefighters killed or injured in the line of duty in Idaho, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas, New York, and California.  She and the company she helped found have earned their reputations: “...when others can’t or won’t... Williams will!”
