Afton Hollertz
Continuous Improvement Manager
Allmand Bros., Inc.

Holdrege, NE

“A career in manufacturing has provided me with opportunities that I may not have had working in any other industry. Now, as a manufacturing engineer, I can utilize my strengths to positively impact our entire company, expanding far beyond the production floor. I get to work and build relationships with various groups of people, allowing me to learn and grow as I continue to gain experience.”

Afton has been a positive influence on the company as a whole in her time with Allmand Brothers.  With a degree in Applied Science in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Afton has taken her technical skills to evaluate and redesign the manufacturing flow process.  This contributed to increased production capacity and efficiencies for the organization.  Afton was integral to a move of the company’s entire fabrication and welding operation onto new equipment in a brand-new facility without experiencing a slow-down or requiring a shut-down.

Afton is a passionate, creative thinker beyond her years who is unafraid to push the boundaries of her role at Allmand Bros.  She continually seeks deeper understanding, doing research and asking questions,  that leads her to propose ideas and improve projects which ultimately impact the work environment and bottom line.  After a series of positive role models, Afton serves as an effective coach and role model, and is always open to collaborating with colleagues for the benefit of the group.
