Noelle Walsh
Business President, Chemicals Business
The Dow Chemical Company
Midland, MI

“I am someone who thinks science and technology are fun, and manufacturing is the perfect outlet for that every day.  It’s an area where I can constantly learn, grow and experience chemistry.  Other elements that fuel my passion for manufacturing include meeting business demands, a culture of collaboration with highly skilled colleagues around the world, interacting with strategic customers and leading people toward success.”

Prior to being named Business President for the Chemicals Business at Dow, Noelle was Vice President of Operations for Dow’s Performance Materials Division.  In that role, she was responsible for ensuring her division delivered superior product performance at a competitive cost to fuel growth for Dow’s market-driven businesses and customers.

Throughout her manufacturing career at Dow, Noelle has relentlessly pursued three goals: operating Dow’s assets safely, driving operational reliability, and value creation.  Significant progress has been made in all areas under her leadership through highly committed leadership teams focused on employee engagement, business results and further improving Dow’s leadership in safety.

Noelle is a role model to many young engineers, making herself available to mentor key talent in the organization. She sponsored a division-level Women’s Leadership Forum, preparing talented young female engineers for future leadership roles.  Noelle also serves as co-chair of Dow’s Women’s Innovation Network (WIN) in North America and was a co-founder of WIN in Terneuzen, The Netherlands.
