Athena Theodorakis
Director, Global Sourcing
LORD Corporation
Cary, North Carolina

“It is very fulfilling to work on something tangible—to know how our product is used and impacts the world around us—doing things like supporting the manufacture of product that ends up in most of the world’s automobiles, or working with project teams designing solutions for future aircraft.”

As Director of Global Sourcing, Athena leads the team of sourcing managers responsible for LORD Corporation’s global direct material, indirect goods and services and capital project spending.  Athena’s contributions have been key to top and bottom line growth, and significant globalization of key LORD businesses.  Her foundation in manufacturing has helped her navigate across roles in multiple LORD business areas.
Among Athena’s many successful projects was development of the operational strategy for key manufacturing processes supporting LORD’s largest product line valued at $200 million, successfully addressing long term capacity availability and risk mitigation.
Athena has received several awards and recognitions within LORD for her outstanding work.  She participates in STEM education and Junior Achievement volunteer activities sponsored by LORD.
