Donna Shinkunas
Purchasing Manager
HOERBIGER Corp. of America, Inc.
Pompano Beach, FL

“Manufacturing is the foundation of what our country was built on.  It provides employment for millions of middle class Americans, which offers economic opportunity for hard working workers through above average pay and benefits. Additionally, many of these jobs are critical to our future technology and innovation leadership.”

As the Purchasing Manager for HOERBIGER, Donna is responsible for all purchasing and supplier relationships for HOERBIGER. She accomplishes this through her group of buyers and senior buyers supporting both the Florida and Texas facilities.  Since Donna stepped into the role of Purchasing Manager, she set her team’s focus on the fundamentals.  She clarified job responsibilities, developed strong relationship with suppliers, and eliminated inefficiencies to ensure HOERBIGER has the best supply chain.

To ensure that employees were satisfied with their position and responsibilities, Donna developed personal improvement programs, monitored their progress and took time to develop each employee to their potential. She encouraged HOERBIGER to set-up APICS training, and encouraged broad participation.

Because of her outstanding performance, Donna was selected to attend a Management Development Training reserved only for employees selected for potential advancement, and was selected to participate in Corporate Strategic Planning meetings in Vienna.
