As Director of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ), Dr. Hinkle is responsible for process safety, personnel safety and health, regulatory affairs, quality, technical training, emergency response and site security.
 
Dr. Hinkle leads Baytown’s efforts to maintain the high standard of performance expected by internal and external stakeholders.  Under her leadership, the site has received recertification as a Star Site in OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program, the Texas Chemistry Council’s (TCC) Occupational Safety Distinguished Service Award and the “Best in Texas” Award from the TCC.
 
Dr. Hinkle speaks on topics such as technical work, leadership development, change management and women in science. She is past chair of the American Chemical Society’s (ACS) Women Chemists Committee, current Co-Chair of the ACS Leadership Advisory Board and a distinguished ACS Fellow.
