Michelle Helm
Engineering Coordinator
HOERBIGER Corp. of America Inc.
Houston, TX

“I am most proud of being named Employee of the Year in 2009.  Being selected made me realize that even though I did not believe I was doing anything more then what I felt was my normal job duties others recognized the hard work I spent performing them.”

Michelle oversees key engineering and production data for all components manufactured in HOERBIGER’s Houston plant.  Her responsibilities include the creation and maintenance of Bill of Materials, Routers, CAD drawings and product costing.
In March of 2012, the Houston facility was challenged with moving an eighteen-machine rapid response manufacturing cell into the plant and having the cell operational in five weeks.  For this to be successful, new part numbers, BOM's, routers and drawings had to be created for thousands of parts.  Michelle managed the data challenges associated with the move while continuing to handle the day-to-day responsibilities with the Houston operation. The unit was fully operational at top efficiency and delivering to customers without delays.  Michelle is a previous HOERBIGER “Employee of the Year”, a recognition awarded by both her peers and senior management.
