Diana Devlin
VP of Information Services and Technology
Spartan Motors, Inc.
Charlotte, MI

“I’m a solution creator; and manufacturing industries, on average, are more innovative than the rest of the economy.  Plus, manufacturing provides good middle-class jobs for millions of Americans.  It provides IT the opportunity to partner with production to generate ideas for improved processes and technology, making people’s jobs a little easier.”

Leveraging technology assets across multiple business units, Diana is responsible for creating a centralized shared services IT organization that provides competitive advantage in areas such as business intelligence, ecommerce, vehicle tracking, supply chain integration, and knowledge management.  She directs IT operations through a team of 20 management and technical professionals, implementing a formal governance approach, to deliver value-driven solutions to multiple and varied lines of business.
Diana is always researching and identifying ways to create innovative solutions.  She and her team developed the first-ever multi-year IT strategic plan, designed and created  customer and supplier portals, and modified the order entry system resulting in $300,000 in additional revenue in the first few months.  Through communication, training, and selective staff realignment, Diana created a culture with customer service as the focus.
