“I am proud to be elected 2013 Chairman of the Board of the Industrial Research Institute (IRI); I am only its second woman Chair in 75 years.  IRI, a nonprofit organization dedicated to industrial R&D management, has over 200 member companies in manufacturing.  I hope this achievement inspires more women to serve on Boards.”

Dr. Collins’ current responsibilities encompass directing a broad array of shared R&D resources in key skill areas. She leads the development and implementation of new and enhanced technologies that deliver the strongest returns to Air Products in terms of value, growth and innovation.
Dr. Collins sits on the Industrial Research Institutes (IRI) Board of Directors and was elected Chairman of the Board for May, 2013 – May, 2014.  She co-chaired two multi-year research-on-research projects as a member of IRI – “Nanotechnology as a living lab to model the reaction and use of explosive information on new technologies” which received a National Science Foundation grant.
