Jennifer Bare
Senior Engineer
ConMed Linvatec
Largo, FL

“The ever-evolving manufacturing industry is always in need of innovative ideas.  One must be flexible, open-minded and willing to venture outside his/her comfort zone to truly understand existing manufacturing processes and to develop new ones.  Manufacturing can be challenging with shifting priorities; my advice is to maintain perspective.”

Jennifer quickly advanced from Intern to Senior Manufacturing Engineer at ConMed Linvatec.  Along the way she earned the respect of colleagues and a reputation as a mentor, strong technical resource and go-to person, all while raising a family.

Jennifer manages new product launches for manufacturing of all disposable products in the Implants, Shaver Blades, Grinding and Specialty Assembly factories.  She is responsible for project plans, tooling, assembly and packaging.  Jennifer supervises engineers through process documentation, process validations and verifications.  She performs capacity and capabilities analysis, manages product flow and trains operators on lean manufacturing practices.  Jennifer is deeply involved in the “Y-Knot” sports medicine medical device introduction, a tissue to bone fixation device used primarily in shoulder and hip reconstruction procedures.
