Eryn Devola
Plant Manager
Siemens Mobility

“Manufacturing is the most tangible step in the creative process. It brings to life the ideas and innovations developed in the design phase. It creates products that protect people and enhance their quality of life. It allows people to explore and experiment in a concrete way bringing science to industry.”

As Plant Manager for Siemens MO MM-MMF facility in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Eryn transformed the manufacturing process and team from below average performance to celebrating one full-year of 100 percent On-Time Delivery (OTD). Eryn’s dynamic leadership was essential to bridging communications between operations, engineering, supply and customer service to align all stakeholders and move the facility in a positive direction. In only two short years after assuming her role as Plant Manager, Eryn not only improved the team’s OTD rate, she improved collaboration between stakeholders while improving quality and employee morale.

Eryn regularly demonstrates productive relationships within many departments through her solutions-oriented approach to the challenges within manufacturing, and a focus on both external and internal customers. Whether working with procurement to improve on inventory transparency and reduce excess, or guiding her team to deliver on annual goals, Eryn’s ability to inspire and encourage others makes her an excellent leader by example.

Eryn has established many programs to empower employees to resolve problems, improve quality and safety, and facilitate communication. Her partnership with Human Resources to institute people-oriented programs have fostered teamwork and collaboration at all levels. As a leader, Eryn faces challenges head-on and works as a member of the team to find a resolution. Eryn’s mentorship has positively impacted several others throughout the organization.

Eryn is an advocate for women in engineering and manufacturing and lends her time to many activities in support of this. She has served as leader of a local Women’s Information Network (WIN) chapter, has assisted with Bring Your Child to Work Day activities and has participated in projects and events involving students ranging from elementary school to college. Having volunteered with FIRST Robotics, Eryn is passionate about youth involvement in technical careers. She also serves as a youth soccer coach working with teams and an organization to develop teamwork, integrity and sportsmanship in children.
