Karla Valdes
Quality Manager
Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc.

"I love seeing the transformation and progressive changes, they never stop. Experiencing the challenges and solutions that manufacturing offers keeps me motivated to strive for a better environment, not only for the business, but for the people which are our most important assets."

Karla strives for a world class manufacturing environment and challenges her colleagues to do the same. She is highly focused on customer satisfaction and instills a sense of urgency for her own deliverables and the expectations that she sets for others. She is a critical resource when it comes to solving customer or manufacturing issues within the plant and she always acts in the best interest of our customers, employees, and shareholders. Her sphere of influence goes beyond just the quality function to include active involvement and leadership in all aspects of production and operations. Karla is a thought leader and role model for the entire Saltillo team.

She leads by example and is recognized as a role model by others in the plant and across the organization. Karla engages the full team in decision making and welcomes the perspective and recommendations of others, always making sure each team member has the tools and training they need. Whether as a mentor or a problem solver, Karla is a go-to resource within the plant and across the division.

Karla strongly believes in contributing to the local community. She supports underprivileged families through a local "Dinner for Christmas" program, which provides holiday meals and winter clothing through an annual collection drive to assist families in the community. She is also an active volunteer with the local DIF Institution which provides shelter and support programs for infants and youth. In addition, Karla is a volunteer English instructor and also helps as a religious education volunteer.
