VP Supply Chain - Global Specialty
"Manufacturing is all about people and processes. A special 'magic' happens every day when engaged employees drive results with process improvements in manufacturing. The customer delight and the lives positively touched, both professionally and personally, of the people we work with results in a long-lasting impact. The impact is a legacy worth building."
Sharon demonstrated exceptional technical and leadership skills to manage one of the most complex plants Ecolab has across the globe. Under her leadership, the plant transformed in only a few short years from one of the bottom performers in North America, to ‘Plant of the Year’ in 2015. In recognition of her strong leadership to drive breakthrough results, Sharon has been promoted to Vice President, Manufacturing and Kay Business Partner. She is one of the few key leaders to develop the High-Performance Work Team framework and implementation plan for the company globally, and is leading the pilot plant implementation which began in early 2016 and will be complete early 2017.
Sharon is the executive sponsor for the Mid-Atlantic E3 Chapter (Women’s employee network), where she identifies two or three high potential women leaders and mentors them. She has been the leader of the chapter for the last two years, and one of the key accomplishments has been the mentorship program, which she started and nurtured to grow into a key chapter strength. Recently, Sharon has expanded her impact by mentoring other high potential females to become mentors themselves, which is helping to close the talent gap in the organization.
Sharon was selected as the Ecolab/Kay Community Giving campaign co-leader in 2015, and the campaign leader in 2016. In both years participation increased, with this year’s contributions approaching $0.5M, which will enable the local United Way chapter to continue growing the services provided to the community. She’s involved in other community activities including American Heart Association leadership, Habitat for Humanity, and E3 community impact events.
