Jessica has been a key contributor to Lilly's medical device business where she has provided technical leadership in Commercialization and Technical Services. In her current role, she has leveraged her technical and leadership skills to guide the team through a period of unprecedented product launch activity, with five new products launched in the past year alone. She is effective at interacting across multiple functions and business units to ensure that manufacturing resources and processes are aligned and prioritized. She also leads the company’s Six Sigma team of black belts, where she is a key decision maker on the types of projects the organization undertakes to increase efficiency, reduce non-value added activity, and improve quality.
Jessica is sought out as a mentor and has established many ongoing coaching relationships. She has helped mentor several people through critical career planning decisions, both in engineering and in leadership roles. Jessica is frequently called upon to facilitate complex investigation and after-action review activities, including mentoring and coaching team members through these activities. This speaks to how much people respect her interpersonal skills and ability to lead a cross functional team through difficult and contentious issues.
The work that Jessica does daily makes a community impact because she is helping to ensure delivery of medicine to patients with the appropriate devices. In addition, Jessica has participated in many Lilly community "giving back" activities, including the Lilly Global Day of Service.
