Janet E. Morton
Vice President - Supply Chain
Brunswick Boat Group

"My passion for manufacturing is fueled by the everyday excitement of turning thousands of parts and pieces into an amazing product that exceeds our customer expectations and provides their family with lifetime memories."

Jan began her career in the lamination department at the company’s sport boat manufacturing facility in Tennessee. In addition to taking on progressively responsible rolls, Jan was recognized repeatedly throughout the years for her work ethic, people skills, integrity, and for the results she produced. Jan successfully led a small team of sourcing professionals delivering $14M cost savings/cost avoidances over the past two years - whilst continuing to manage supplier relationships; bring resolution to component quality spills; drive improved supplier performance; execute supply agreements; implement supply base optimization initiatives; and support legal cases involving the supply base. Her adept management through challenging economic times in the marine industry is a testament to her skills and dedication.

Jan often works to mentor both new and experienced colleagues, leveraging the skills and experiences she’s had over her many years with the organization, to provide sound career guidance. She values each person’s individual talents and is eager to find the best way to share those with the company, for both personal and professional results.

Jan is active in the community, sharing her talent with both professional organizations and organizations she is personally passionate about.  She served on the Boards of Trustees Brevard Museum of History and Science and served as the Co-Chair of the organization’s Fundraising Committee. Jan is also a sponsor of Compassion International, which provides support to programs for disadvantaged children, and is an active supporter of her local church’s initiatives.
