Vicki Holt
President and CEO
Proto Labs

"What excites me most about manufacturing today is how it is changing and embracing information technology in every aspect of manufacturing. We are at the forefront of the next industrial revolution which is going to bring tremendous value to world economies, manufacturing companies, communities, and people around the world."

Vicki’s passion for education and mentorship makes her a leader in her industry, the company, and her community. As the president and CEO of a publicly traded company in a male-dominated industry, she strives to accelerate innovation, strategically expand the company's customer base, and prepare tomorrow’s workforce. Since joining Proto Labs in February of 2014, she has played a critical role in the company’s organic growth.

From the moment she joined the company, Vicki has placed a priority on connecting with employees throughout the company in all locations. She truly believes that leadership must be accessible to create a collaborative and successful company culture. She leads by example through her efforts to support STEM education and prepare the industry's next generation workforce.

Vicki is involved in a variety of informal and formal mentoring roles. She views mentorship as a critical part of her job, at Proto Labs and beyond, as an executive leader in the manufacturing industry. As CEO, Vicki’s open- door policy leads employees at all levels to share their stories with her. In turn, she engages with them collaboratively to further their impact and performance as valued members of the company and community.

Vicki’s ongoing dedication to community involvement combines her passions for the industry, cultivating the next-generation workforce and supporting local initiatives. As a member of the Greater Twin Cities United Way and the local Habitat for Humanity, Holt and her family are continually engaged in local events that bolster the Minneapolis-St. Paul community.  With her leadership in the Proto Labs Foundation, Vicki seeks involvement in nonprofit organizations to raise awareness for critical issues facing the manufacturing industry and beyond.
