Jennifer Kaye Cisneros
“When I was hired over nine years ago at Bio-Microbics, I was asked why I wanted to market ‘wastewater treatment systems.’ My response was ‘the environment.’ These products are good for people and the environment. Water is the #1 most recyclable thing we have and more education is needed.”
Jennifer has overseen many projects during her nine-year tenure, including several large website upgrades. She has proven vital to the company’s growth by integrating the marketing of two corporate acquisitions and five technology acquisitions over the years. Jennifer has applied for and obtained many technology awards, including the Water Environment Federation’s Leaders Innovation Forum for Technology award and the 2016 Greenbuild Conference’s Top Ten Technologies award. Her efforts to market to companies worldwide –
translating brochures and web material, writing articles for international periodicals, and traveling to tradeshows and conferences in other countries – have been paramount to achieving recognition for the company’s exports.
Jennifer is active in her local business marketing association, mentoring professionals on social media, which she also does for the Water Environment Federation and the National Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association. Every summer, Jennifer also mentors the company interns, teaching them how to write white papers, optimize social media, and improve their graphics design skills. Perhaps most importantly, she shares with them her enthusiasm and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
Last spring, Jennifer was nominated by her neighbor, Makahiya, a then second-grader, for the "Shine on Kindest Kansas Citian Award." These awards were the culmination of an essay contest throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area, in which grade school children wrote stories about someone unrelated to them who has made an impact. Jennifer is also an active participant in the United States Green Building Council, a non-profit organization that promotes sustainability in building design, construction, and operation.
