Kim has had a 22-year career at LORD, spanning Product Development and New Product Commercialization Program Management. Her current role in Program Management places her in a key role to execute the company’s new product commercialization projects. She effectively interacts and communicates with customers, suppliers, and team members and consistently demonstrates skill at working across functions and cultures. She also engages with leadership at various levels, presenting project and initiative program analysis to brief project teams through senior leadership, and facilitating lessons-learned activities focused on identifying ways to continuously improve processes and project execution.
Kim is consistently sought out for support and guidance by those she works with. While in Product Development, she was the department expert on several lab equipment systems, and routinely provided support to others in technology. In her current role, Kim regularly mentors and trains others throughout the company, both in the U.S. and globally, on the New Product Commercialization process and the project management database software. Kim has also managed and mentored summer interns, outlining the scope of their projects, and identifying the training and support they would need to execute their projects.
She is passionate about outreach to the community, both through company sponsored activities and personal ones. She has participated in numerous community service-related activities as part of the company’s corporate Program Management Functional Excellence team, and has been an active participant in the firm’s United Way effort. In addition, she served as a Sunday school teacher’s assistant at her church.
